LARGE VINTAGE MERCURY GLASS BEAD CHRISTMAS TREE GARLAND

WONDERFUL STRAND OF VINTAGE MERCURY GLASS BEAD CHRISTMAS TREE GARLAND, IN THE ORIGINAL PACKAGING. What beautiful old glass beads. These would be perfect for your Vintage design tree....or a great display item, being they are still in their original packaging. Great style and design. Rich, vibrant green coloration. The beads are all one size, measuring about 3/8" each. What we can see, the beads are all in very good vintage condition, as shown in the photos. This lovely strand measures about 78" long, and has been tied off at each end. This wonderful strand is old store stock, never used or displayed, from the estate of a craft and Holiday designer, dating back to the 1940's. The strand of glass beads that you will receive, will still be in their original paper bundle, some have tape on them, some are marked, "MADE IN JAPAN", some just, "JAPAN", and some strands look like they have paper tags attached to the strand itself, "MADE IN JAPAN".....just so you are aware. We have not taken the strand out of the packaging, so there may be a broken bead here or there. When it comes to glass bead garlands in general, each glass bead would have been hand blown in countries such as Germany, Czechoslovakia or Japan before and after WW II. Imports into the U.S. then began again in the late 1940's, into the 1950's. Many Czech beads can be much earlier, dating pre-war.
