VINTAGE PORCELAIN HOLLY HAT GIRLS SALT AND PEPPER SHAKERS

WONDERFUL PAIR OF VINTAGE PORCELAIN, HOLLY HAT GIRL MUSICIAN, SALT AND PEPPER SHAKERS. What great old Christmas decorations. Rich, vibrant hand painted coloration. Beautiful detailing into the molds. Many ceramic companies produced a full line of Holiday, Birthday decorative Angel, pixie figurines, and whimsical figural salt and pepper shakers during the 1940's-1960's, along with Lefton, Inarco, Napco and other factories of that time. It was considered the "Golden Age" of ceramic and porcelain Holiday decorations such as these! Our girls wear colorful holly berry and foliage accented hats, one plays a mandolin, the other an accordion, striped scarves wrapped around their necks, ready for the cold winter nights. Gold accents to the snowflakes on their dresses and their musical instruments. Both shakers are in very good vintage condition, free of chips or cracks, as shown in the photos. Each has a stopper in the bottom. They measure about 4" tall. Marked on the bottom with the original paper tag, "JAPAN".
