VINTAGE PORCELAIN SEPTEMBER BIRTHDAY ANGEL GIRL FIGURINE

WONDERFUL VINTAGE PORCELAIN SEPTEMBER, HOLIDAY ANGEL GIRL FIGURINE. What a lovely old Holiday decoration. Many ceramic companies produced a full line of Holiday, Birthday and decorative Angel and pixie figurines during the 1940's-1960's, along with Lefton, Inarco, Napco and other factories of that time. It was considered the "Golden Age" of ceramic and porcelain Holiday decorations, for pieces such as these! Beautiful detailing into the cast porcelain mold. Spaghetti trim to the hemline of her long, flowing dress. Rhinestone jewels set into the spaghetti trim. Rich, hand painted coloration. She holds a bundle of school books in one hand, a ripe, red apple for her teacher in her other hand. Gold accents to her wings, spaghetti trim, dress and book bundle. Gold lettering, "SEPTEMBER", across the front of her dress. The September angel girl is in very good vintage condition, free of chips or cracks, as shown in the photos. She measures about 4 1/2" tall. She is ink stamped on the bottom,"1987J". She would have been produced in Japan, and imported to the U.S. for sale in specialty stores across the country.
